Exploration Architecture Corporation proposes a NASA study to evaluate reusability of a common airlock for NASA’s Altair Lunar Lander development program. Study goals are to assess survivability of a minimum design airlock during long term dormancy on the lunar surface (post-mission) to determine viability of re-using the airlock for surface systems integration, e.g., integrated with a habitation module during the Lunar Outpost construction phase. The proposed study is comprised of three components including a survivability assessment, a refurbishment assessment, and a flyable design upgrade assessment.
